Deliblurate

Deliblurate

Ideas, many hover my mind. Sometimes none. Often when in need too many crowd each other, the sharp idea diminishes.  Only a blur remains.

In this photo essay I am exploring the idea of blur in my daily routine. Deliberately deviating from my obsession for sharp images.

Water: We cannot escape its essentialness; I see it in many forms. I have captured it when still, with small ripples, with a flow. On a monsoon day, capturing this flow gave me no clarity, for it reflected too many things whilst there was a constant flow. I caught only a blur

Traffic: As much as I hate it. I cannot get away from it in a city. When I think carefully I cannot recollect sharp image of a particular vehicle. I can remember brands, designs & lights. But not those particular ones with whom I share the road. This particular auto could have been captured distinctly, I chose to leave it unclear like the rest of the traffic I come across everyday

Lights: Can you imagine a life in dark? I see lights in so many forms, I cannot recollect what it is to be in a pitch dark. Some lights appear crystal clear, like this laptop. Some are just there, around me, I never pay attention to look at their details. This stop signal is one such less sharp image.

Reflections: Everything we see is a reflection of light? I am always fascinated by reflections. The most interesting reflections are not in a mirror. It is usually multilayered reflection on glasses. There is always images behind the surface and on the surface, creating inquisitive images. The clarity or obscurity lies in the eyes of the viewer. I found this while wandering in Mumbai airport, the painting in the background is a work by Ajay De.

Lines: They are so many. Like water, light, reflections, we are surrounded by lines in our dailyness. How many do I see? I don't keep a count. Most of them just blend away.
